Lyft has added new personalization and safety features that allow for a better travel experience for both drivers and passengers.
The travel partition app just announced that riders will now have the opportunity for favorite drivers if they had a particularly excellent trip and want to use the same driver again.
Lyft will prioritize connecting the user with one of their favorite drivers whenever possible.
When a driver is added to one’s favorites, they will be notified. From there, they will have priority access to the planned requirements of the next trip of that knight.
After completing a trip, this new feature will allow passengers to mark the driver as preferred if they are satisfied with their experience.
“This is not just about comfort – it’s to give you more control over your travel experience,” the company said in a statement.
“You can create relationships with drivers who get your vibrancy, whether it is keeping the car fresh for your trip or knowing when you need a quiet time before a big encounter.”
Lyft explained that this feature comes as an attempt to offer drivers with additional profit opportunities and to establish relationships with passengers who meet every day.
“When drivers know they are appreciated, this creates a positive cycle. They are motivated to continue offering an extraordinary service, and you get constantly great trips with the people you trust.”
Moreover, Lyft Riders will have the opportunity to block executives, so they should not worry about repeated offenders if a passenger has an unpleasant experience – for whatever reason.
Direct Driver Blocking is the first of its kind and is part of the continuous engagement of Lyft to make it the safest app for traveling to get around.
As part of the participation, Lyft is starting a security center portal in the application – a place where knights can set safety features such as audio registration, pin verification, location division and more. Blocked and favored drivers will also appear at the security center.
The new features will emerge in an update in the coming weeks with a larger scale departure in the JSC and Canada by the end of August.
The measure comes just one day after Uber announced the presentation of “Women’s Preferences” in the US, which will allow women of knights and drivers to connect only with other women for their trips.
Female passengers will see an option called ‘Women Drivers’ when looking for a trip. For drivers, they simply have to change the “cavalry women’s preference” in their application environments. The pilot program will begin in the coming weeks in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Detroit.
“All over the JB, women Riders and drivers have told us that they want the option to match other women on travel. We have heard them – and now we are introducing new ways to give them even more control of how they ride and ride,” Uber said in a press release.
