Panic of news correspondents such as waters in her face during direct broadcasting

A direct report of a British correspondent took a lot of buzz.

ITV News reporter Sara O’Kane fought excessive invasive water that landed on her face during her live broadcast on her TV on Wednesday evening.

O’kane came face to face with the insect as she was finishing her report on a triple investigation into the ITV channel in the UK in northern Ireland, according to a video on social media.

Wasp first landed on her white shirt before flying up and sitting straight to her nose as she finished speaking in network anchors as part of her signature.

O’kane broke her tranquility, she saw her eyes and used the letter in her hand to try and chew the waters.

The journalist claimed she was unaware that the cameras were still rolling.

“I am now aware that ITN had not cut in the studio,” O’kane wrote on Wednesday evening, referring to the ITV news provider.

“I kept it as long as I could, but that WASP was coming for my face. Please don’t let this moment be removed from the devastating @utvnews tragedy that was reporting today to Fermanagh.”

O’kane was reporting on a mother and her two children being killed in northern Ireland when the premature incident took place on live television, according to ITV.

The clip went viral, taking over 37,500 views on X since Thursday morning.

While the insect attack entertained many viewers who saw it to unfold live on television, some viewers also showed some grace to the reporter.

“I don’t think someone with a compassion ounce would think you did anything wrong,” one person wrote on X. “You reported well in a very difficult part.”

“He saw him live Sarah, professional as always. Nature happens,” commented another person.

“Right game, I would have completely lost it,” a third wrote.

O’Kane is a reporter covering Northern Ireland as part of the British ITV network, according to the news organization website.

In recent months, other media personalities have found themselves becoming history as the cameras are rolling.

Last month, an Australian news reporter Lauren Tomasi was reporting on live television when a bullet shot by a police department officer in Los Angeles struck him on foot during anti-affliction riots.

Fox News host Jonathan Hunt was anchoring “Fox News @ Night” when his guest, former Trump Administration Camryn Kinsey, faded during a direct interview in May 2025.

Kinsey blamed “severe dehydration” for shocking emergency in the air.
