CNN national security analyst Beth Sanner accused the Trump administration of the Russian assistance after national intelligence director Tulsi Gabbard stated a report prepared by the Permanent Committee of the Chamber of Intelligence again in 2020 on Wednesday.
Sanner clashed on the administration on Wednesday to issue the report, which she claimed to include “chosen cherry examples” that went contrary to the assessment of the intelligence community at the time Russian President Vladimir Putin was intertwined in the 2016 election in the hope of helping President Donald Trump win.
“What I do not appreciate is that these are examples chosen from the cherry they are cheating, the angels dancing on the head of a pin when we have reporting volumes,” she claimed.

The report revealed that the intelligence community did not have any direct information that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to assist in the election of Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election, but in the “unusual” direction of President Barack Obama, “potentially biased” or “invisible” intelligence otherwise.
The report says the then CIA director John Brennan “ordered the publication after the election of 15 reports containing previously collected but unpublished intelligence, three of which were under standards-containing information that was unclear, of unsafe, potentially biased, or invisible-and-invisible. CNN analyst objected these findings, arguing that the “great message” for Americans is that “Russia tried to interfere with our electoral processes with the point of undermining our faith in our democracy and, bringing this again, the Trump administration is doing our opposing Russia.”
Sanner’s claims stand fierce contrasting with Gabbard’s statements made at a White House press conference on Wednesday, claiming that the Obama administration promoted a “discussed narrative” that Russia interfered in the 2016 elections.
“There are irrefutable evidence that they detail how President Obama and his national security team led to the creation of an assessment of the intelligence community that they knew was false,” Gabbard said.
“They knew they would promote this controversial story that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help President Trump win, selling it to the American people as if it were true.”
